Plans change,
here’s how
Last updated 1 October 2026
If Respond Pro or Respond Max is not what you wanted, email us within 14 days of being charged and we will refund it in full. No form, no reason required.
Bought it inside the iPhone app? Apple took that payment and only Apple can refund it. See Bought through the App Store.
Try it before paying
Respond is free to use with no account and no time limit, so you can confirm it works on your computer, your phone, and in the applications you use before spending anything. Pro and Max change which translation engine is used; they do not unlock the product itself.
Bought through the App Store
We cannot refund a purchase made inside the iPhone app. Apple is the seller for those, takes the payment, and holds the only means of returning it. Nothing on this page overrides that, and the 14 days below do not apply to them.
Ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com, signed in with the same Apple Account that bought it, and choose the subscription. Apple decides these, not us, and their own terms and statutory timeframes govern them.
To stop the next payment rather than recover the last one, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Respond, then Cancel Subscription. You keep Pro or Max until the end of the period you have already paid for.
If Apple turns down a request and you believe the fault was ours, write to info@withrespond.com anyway. We cannot move the money, but we can tell Apple in writing that we support the refund, which is often what a second request needs.
The 14-day refund
You can request a full refund of any Respond Pro or Respond Max payment made on this website within 14 days of that payment. Email info@withrespond.com from the address on your account and say you would like a refund. You do not need to explain why.
Refunds go back to the original payment method. We process them within two business days; your bank usually takes a further five to ten days to show it.
After 14 days
Past 14 days we do not refund payments already made, and we do not partially refund an unused part of a month. You can cancel at any time to stop the next payment, and you keep Pro or Max until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Two exceptions, where we refund regardless of timing:
- A fault on our side. If Respond Pro or Respond Max was unusable because of a problem with our service and we could not fix it, we refund the affected period.
- We change or withdraw the product. If we materially reduce what Pro or Max provides, or discontinue either, we refund the unused portion of the period you have paid for.
Cancelling
On the Windows or Mac app, open Respond, go to Settings, and choose Manage subscription. That opens the billing portal where you can cancel immediately. On the iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Respond. Cancelling stops future payments; it is not itself a refund request. If you also want the most recent payment refunded, and it was made on this website and within 14 days, email us and say so.
Duplicate and unrecognised charges
If you have been charged twice, or see a charge you do not recognise, contact us before disputing it with your bank. For a charge that came from Apple, take it to Apple first for the same reason. We will investigate and refund any error in full, which is faster for you than a chargeback.
Your legal rights
This policy sits on top of your rights under consumer law, and does not replace them. If you are in Australia, you have rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including to a remedy where a service is not supplied with due care and skill or is not fit for its stated purpose. Consumers elsewhere keep the equivalent protections of their own country's law, including any statutory cancellation period.
